The National Kidney Foundation, Inc. is a voluntary health organization that seeks to prevent kidney and urinary tract diseases, improve the health and well-being of individual and families affected by these diseases, and increase the availability of all organs for transplantation. The NFK web site focuses on 4 groups: 1) the health care professional, 2) organ and tissue donors and recipients, 3) patients, and 4) the general public.

American Association of Kidney Patients

The American Association of Kidney Patients (AAKP) is a national non-profit organization founded by kidney patients for kidney patients. They strive to educate and improve the health and well-being of chronic kidney disease (CKD) patients, those on Hemodialysis, peritoneal dialysis and transplant recipients.

The Nephron Information Center

The major portal for the renal community: physicians, patients, nurses, technicians, dietitians and social workers. It’s primary focus is to support the generation and dissemination of valid health information relevant to the kidney community as well as the public. The site also includes NEPHROQUEST, a question and answer center for kidney patients.

Kidney School

Kidney School is a free, interactive, web-based learning program in 20 minutes modules. It was designed to help people learn what they need to know to understand kidney disease and its treatment, adjust to kidney disease, make good medical choices, and live as fully as possible. You decide which modules to visit and when so what you learn is entirely up to you.

American Diabetes Association

The American Diabetes Association is a nonprofit health organization providing diabetes research, information and advocacy. The mission of the Association is to prevent and cure diabetes and to improve the lives of all people affected by diabetes.

DaVita provides dialysis services for those diagnosed with chronic kidney failure also known as chronic kidney disease (CKD).
